Global Sales Office overview

The Global Sales Office (GSO) workspace helps a central sales team receive a planner's request, send it to suitable properties, and track each property's progress. Property sellers work the resulting opportunities in their usual Siv workspace.

Understand the workflow

A Sales Office lead is the original planner request. A property opportunity is one property's sales record for that request. One lead can have opportunities at several properties, with a different seller, budget, and outcome at each.

  1. Receive a lead through an office form, enter it manually, or upload a request for proposal (RFP) as a PDF.
  2. Review the planner's contact details, event requirements, and requested properties.
  3. Select the properties to receive the lead. Check whether to create a new opportunity or link an existing one.
  4. Review the expected assignment and the warm introduction for each new opportunity.
  5. Send the referral, then follow each property's progress in Central Leads.

A warm introduction is the opening of the property's first email to the planner. Siv adds it before the property's standard response. The combined email is sent from the assigned seller or shared inbox when the property's automatic response is enabled and ready. Linking an existing opportunity sends no new initial email.

Check your access

You need Sales Office membership to work its leads. If you belong to several offices, select the office you want to work in. Your office determines which leads and destination properties are available.

Who you areWhat you can do
Sales Office memberReview, assign, and refer office leads; track referrals; use Sales Office reports; manage the office's warm-introduction templates.
Property sellerWork referred opportunities at properties where you have access.
Management-group administratorWork office leads and reports, manage templates, and configure office lead assignment.
Siv administratorSet up offices, membership, destination coverage, forms, property capacity, and reporting timezones.

Sales Office membership does not grant general access to edit property opportunities or property settings. Separate property roles can provide that access.

Know which conversations you can open

The office's Destination conversation access setting has two options:

  • Office conversations only: office membership gives you access to office conversations. You can still track property referral progress.
  • Office and destination conversations: you can also view conversations for the properties covered by the office.

Separate property roles can give you additional conversation access. A property role by itself does not grant access to private Sales Office conversations or office templates.
